Creating a MySQL database
1. Log into your Cpanel. Scroll down and click on
MySQL Databases, which looks like the one I circled
in red below:
2. Where it says
Create New Database, put your desired database name. Then click
Create
Database. After that it would just give you a page where it says "Added the database
"whatever your database
name is". An example is below.
Click
Go back.
3. Now you're back to the main page of MySQL database in Cpanel. You need to create a New User. Scroll
down to
Add New User and fill out the spaces. An example is below.
Click
Create User. It'll then give you a page similar to the one below.
Once again, click
Go back and you will be redirected to the MySQL database's main page.
4. Scroll down to
Add user to database. From the first drop down
menu, choose the MySQL user you have just made. From the second drop down menu, choose the MySQL database you've
just created. Click
Add.
5. When a page appears, it would have a
All Priveleges section. Check the tick box next to it.
An example of the page is below:
After you've done all that, click
Make Changes.
Ta-da! You've just created a MySQL database. How easy was that? If you have any questions on this tutorial,
please don't hesitate to contact me. Hope this helps.
